The search terms may be written in one or more fields on the search form
and the query is sent by clicking Search.
A list of titles matching the query will be displayed. It is then possible
to display one or all records and choose their
output format.
The truncation sign is * (an asterix). It will denote one or more
characters either at the beginning or at the end of a search term.
Terms separated by space will appear in the same order in the text
(in the same field). Both upper case and lower case are accepted.
E.g. *metallurg*
The query in this field will be conducted
in all searchable fields of the database. Queries using CCL-command
language and Boolean operators are accepted here
(FIND-command is omitted). The appropriate field codes
are also required when searching for information related to dates and
numbers, such as publication year.
E.g. neural network* and py=2009
Name format is surname forename or surname f*.
The characters greater than > and smaller than
< are accepted in the publication year field.
A certain time period must
be searched
e.g. 2005 to 2007.
E.g. >2007
The Boolean operators AND, OR, NOT are applicable in all fields for the combination of the search terms. To combine terms in different fields, please click AND or OR button on the form.
The mode from searching into browsing may be changed by clicking Display terms at the end of the search form. The words and phrases found in the database may be browsed by writing the beginning of the wanted term truncated by * in the appropriate field.
